Have you seen or heard about this ?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7488971.stm
When I first heard about him (when he worked for Major's administration) my first thought was 'How weird', but later I thought he would be one of the most interesting people one could meet.
Let's hope for a speedy recovery.

What is the easiest way to post a link to a show, site, pic, etc? I'm listening to much talked about show right now, half-step from 6/9/77, whew!!. But earlier it was 6/22/83 from City Island at Harrisburg. What a surprise, I don't remember it being that good but while short, it's a great 83 show and the recording is excellent, I think it's an aud too. Wish I could post the link. ( there is mention of mooing in the reviews, I remember that!) Also, on your link to the BBC new, there is a link at the bottom right to a matter of truth article about 911 concpiracy and building 7. They don't address the accusation that they reported the building fall before it actually did. I think the original source was found at the Archive. Out this old worn limb, does anyone have any opinions or facts?

Sorry jemajn,
I can't see that link now, perhaps they've replaced it with a newer story. From memory recently there was a TV programme which set about rebutting some of the conspiracy theories posted on the internet concerning coverage of the 9/11 attacks, but I didn't watch it so I can't help you. Have a good 4th and enjoy your extended weekend.

Morning, snore/snori. (Always meant to ask - do you use the two spellings interchangeably?)

Yes - I heard this on the radio this morning. I'd suspect (not really knowing a damn thing about it) that the man was hit pretty hard by the loss of his wife last year and that could well have contributed to his ill health now.

It may be good to remind people that as well as being one of Her Majesty's foremost intelligence operatives Alex Allan also runs the Grateful Dead Lyric and Song Finder - a truly wonderful resource for Deadheads.

There's a link there to Alex's homepage which has contact details should anyone wish to send a message of support.

You probably heard the same report as me, where one of his colleagues mentioned him checking the web site of his favourite band before leaving work.

You're right about that resource he set up, and it's fun as well as useful.

Snore is Snori at work (technical confusion + typo)that somehow seemed appropriate.
